I was lucky enough to be there when Ellie entered the world one week ago. Today, she was the perfect sleeper and quite the pooper. ;) We got some beautiful images of the whole family and I loved getting to spend my day with them. I can't wait to see what this girl will be like as she gets older. For now, she is pretty loved and doted upon by every member of her family. Here's a few favorites...

The Martins, Back to School Photo Shoot: Smyrna, TN Photographer
Well, I officially shot my first Christmas setup last night. I won't be able to share it for quite some time, but let's just say the Martins came prepared with a trailer full of props. Yes, a whole trailer.
I am happy that I can share the back to school portion of their set though. I can't quite tell you how crafty Bill & Tiffany are. I need him to design all my sets!!
SO great seeing them. :)
Dylan, 9 months: Nashville Baby Photographer
Dylan and his family move to San Francisco, but I'm so excited they are visiting to finish out his last two sessions with me (yes, my clients are the BEST). This boy loves to be tossed around and that giggle is the greatest. He is such a sweetheart!
Ella, 1 year: Nashville Baby Photographer
Last time I saw Ella, she didn't want to leave her Mommy's arms. Today, we were best friends. This girl was all smiles! She may be one of my best cake smashers ever, but she didn't taste a single bite. Ha ha.

Sheppard, 9 months: Nashville Baby Photographer
Sheppard is just the sweetest guy around! He was too adorable in that floral outfit with his hat and loved showing off all 5 of his teeth. I always love seeing his smiling face.
The Pughs: Smyrna, TN Photographer
I simply adore seeing this family! Evie and Charis are stunning and so very sweet with a dramatic flair. We had so much fun last night in this gorgeous weather! They are so fun and their giggles melted me. It was so hard to choose favorites...

Radnor, 1 year: Nolensville Baby Photographer
You wouldn't believe it, but Radnor wasn't in the best mood last night. He really just wanted to be held and lost it anytime someone put him down. (Except when he had cake.) We finally got to do some family photos and the horses even cooperated for about 7 seconds.
I have LOVED documenting this boy's first year and I'm so excited that we get to start all over again in December when his baby brother arrives!!
Happy Birthday, beautiful boy!

Ellie Elizabeth, A Birth Story: Nashville Birth Photographer {C-section birth story} {Middle TN Birth Photographer} {Rainbow baby}
This morning, I woke up before the sun with so much anticipation. One year ago, I was with Chris and Melissa at the same hospital as they delivered and said goodbye to their second son in two years (read more here). Today, they finally get to meet their miracle baby. I was so ready to celebrate this new life with them, to document the moment they have been waiting so long for...
The day began with a beautiful sunrise.
This was the last bandaid after over 220 shots that Melissa had to endure over the course of her pregnancy.
Melissa's father led an emotional prayer for guidance and safety during the surgery that would bring their baby girl into the world.
We parted ways as she was wheeled into the OR, but I sent my camera with their wonderful nurse, Katie, who captured the next few images.
Welcome Ellie Elizabeth...
Then, I got to meet Melissa in the recovery room and capture this sweet girl.
These are my favorite images from the day. Melissa couldn't hold it in any longer and let the floodgates open. She is so full of strength and grace. I was humbled and honored to document these moments.
After a few hours in recovery, it was time to go upstairs and prepare for big sisters, Presley and Georgia to meet their baby sister! Anyone who knows Melissa shouldn't be surprised with the spread she prepared for this moment. ;)
The girls were SO excited and adorable meeting Ellie!!
Melissa and Chris, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of the next step in your journey. I am beyond thrilled for you both and can't express how much today meant to me. Miss Ellie has no idea how much she is loved and wanted. I am so excited to watch her grow up with her sisters. Can't wait to see you all next week!!
xoxo
