Caroline's Bridal Portraits: Nashville Wedding Photographer

Yay--I can finally post Caroline's Bridal portraits! We did these back n July and Caroline wanted to mix things up a bit for this session. She wanted a "classic" look that she sported at her wedding (see post below), and she also wanted to vamp it up a bit for something a little more funky. We had so much fun during her shoot even though I think her mom freaked out a bit when we started on the 2nd look.   ;)

Enjoy!

Caroline & Stephen Tie the Knot: Nashville Wedding Photographer

I had the best time photographing Caroline & Stephen's STUNNING wedding yesterday. I had so much fun with these two on their engagement shoot and I knew that their wedding would not disappoint. They put so much thought into every small detail and really made the day unique:

1. The groom had a man cave set up with a big screen TV, sports paraphernalia, and an ice cream bar. The groom's best friend recently passed away and they had a candle lit for him in this room (so he could be hanging out with the guys).
2 The couple had "fun facts" cards posted all over the venue about themselves.
3. When the DJ played "Sweet Caroline,"  the bride took over the dance floor surrounded by all the guests serenading her.
4. The bride and groom led almost their entire group of guests around the dance floor in one of the longest dance trains I have ever seen. Hilarious!
5. In lieu of favors, the bride and groom made donations to two causes very important to them. Two sets of books were donated to Caldwell Enhanced Option Elementary school since Caroline is a great advocate of literacy. Stephen, an advocate for baseball, made a donation to RBI Nashville--an organization aimed at encouraging teamwork and opportunity through sports.

We got very lucky that the rain held off all day, and that ominous sky made for a terrific backdrop for photos. I had an extremely difficult time narrowing down favorites, but here are some shots I loved.

Congratulations Stephen & Caroline! I hope you have a wonderful time in Hawaii--I am so jealous.  ;)

I LOVE that you can see how much fun these two have together and how much they adore each other.

Thanks so much to Caroline & Stephen's AMAZING wedding planner Meredith with Bridal Blueprints. She was on the ball and the day went flawless (minus that little poser outage).  Awesome job lady--loved working with you!

Also thanks to Sylvia with Seriously Foxy Makeup & Skincare for making our wedding party look fabulous.

Rhys turns One: Nashville Baby Photographer

Today I met Rhys and got to celebrate his first birthday with him! This little man was so stinking cute-- I was just in love with his long lashes. He was not a huge fan of his birthday cake and made some funny faces when mom and dad tried to get him to eat it (he was way more interested in playing with it).

Happy Birthday, Rhys!  :)

Cates Family: Nashville Family Photographer

Sweet Kinsley came back for a new shoot with me this afternoon. She will soon celebrate her first birthday and she was all over the studio. She wanted to explore everything! Dad came along this time and we got some beautiful family shots (even though Dad was not a fan of getting his picture made--or me making him go outside in a sweater. It was worth it for these, right Derek?!)  Mom also wanted to get a few shots of her by herself, and she rocked it!   :)

Here's a few favorites...

Pepper, 14 days: Nashville Newborn Photographer

I am in love with Pepper. This little angel was the easiest newborn I've had in quite some time. We got to do a ton of poses with her because she was so mellow! Mom and Dad brought in a ton of personal items to incorporate into their session and that always makes for a unique shoot. Dad plays guitar and tennis, and mom sews--plus they brought in their bible for a shot at the end. How sweet are these??

Congratulations again Laura and Phil. It was great meeting you!

Isidora, 9 months: Nashville Baby Photographer

Miss Isidora was back for her 9 month session this morning. This baby just keeps getting cuter every time and I see her and I think she is starting to look just like her Mommy. Isi got to try on her Halloween costume for the first time today and I about died. She is the mos adorable little bee that I have ever seen!

Here's a few favorites...  :)

Elliott turns 1: Nashville Baby Photographer

I can't believe that this little man is already a year old!  Once again he was posing for the camera and in a fantastic mood. Mom brought in the cutest hats and I seriously could eat this kid up. Doesn't he look like a little baby Gap model? So freakin' cute!!  ;)

So great seeing you Bonnie!
