My kiddos, Ian and Averie: Nashville Child Photographer

My babies are growing up too quickly. Every time I look at them something had changed--they are a little taller, a little smarter, a little funnier, and I want to push pause on my life sometimes. It moves so quickly after you have children and I find myself trying to grasp on to them and keep them boxed up so I can remember these moments.

Last month my son turned 10. TEN! How did that happen? He is no longer my little boy, but a smart-mouthed turd who can be sweet when no one is looking. I love that he still asks me to tuck him in at night and sing him a song (though he would never admit it to anyone else). He's gorgeous--I have already had to tell girls to stop calling.  He refuses to let me pick out his clothes and he is growing his hair out...again.
Ten.    sigh...

My precious baby girl is now 18 months old. Her favorite word is "Da-deee." She peed in the potty for the first time last week (which I'm sure was a total fluke). She still lays her head on my shoulder with her hippo ("Bippo")  when she is tired. I love when she wakes up in the morning and I bring her to our bed and she snuggles and smiles until my husband and I have to force ourselves to get up. How can I freeze time?

Avery & Lexi: Nashville Baby Photographer

Lexi and Avery are 6 months old and have changed so much since their newborn shoot! Lexi was the bigger baby when they were born, but now Avery has taken over and is almost 3 pounds bigger than her sister. Mom and Dad said their personalities were complete opposites--and the girls proved them right! Avery is very mellow and Lexi is the wild one.  :)

It was great to see you again Chad and Deneshia--here are a few favorites!

Greta: Nashville Newborn Photographer

I was super excited to meet the latest addition to the McGraw family this morning. This sweet little one is Greta Ryan, and she is just as beautiful as her big sister Cora. Good genes definitely run in this family! Once Greta was fed, she was a complete dream. Cora was so cute with her and kept saying, "My baby sister!" It just about melted me.  :)

Congratulations Anne and Ryan--your girls are precious!

Rylan, 10 days: Nashville Newborn Photographer

I am proud to introduce Rylan to the blog! This sweet little man let me pose him anyway I wanted. His only condition was to let him pee on everything he wanted. Ha ha ha! Mom brought in a ton of her own props and hats--sooo cute!

Congratulations Missy and Corey--he's perfect!

The Trombleys: Nashville Family Photographer

I've been shooting Joe, Kami, and Emma since Emma was itty bitty and I just love them! Miss Emma gave us a run for our money today. She just had too many things to do and couldn't care less about taking pictures. Skittles seemed to do the trick for a few shots... ;)

Don't worry Joe and Kami--they turned out awesome. It is always wonderful to see you guys!!

Kate, 6 months: Nashville Baby Photographer

Miss Kate was back for her 3rd session with me this morning. She is already 6 months old and was super-smiley and as adorable as ever. Big brother Jack tagged along again and we got the sweetest shots of them together. Aren't these kiddos just delicious?!? I swear I could eat them up.  ;)

Here are a few of my favorites...

Camdon, 7 days: Nashville Newborn Photographer

This little man has the most blond hair on a baby I have ever seen! Camdon is one week old today and made his studio debut. He got a little overstimulated and we did not get to finish his session--so he will be back in a couple days. However, we did manage to snap several adorable images of this family before we had to call it quits...

I just love this face below. "Get that camera out of my face and give me some clothes!"  Ha ha ha.

Update:
Here are a few from Camdon's reshoot--he was pretty much perfection the 2nd time around! Look how gorgeous he is with his big brother.  :)

The Flood

This is the view from my front door:

This is the view from my bedroom window---what was my backyard turned into a river:

Luckily, the water only made it into our garage and under our house. We haven't been able to assess the damage yet.
We have it a lot better than most do in Nashville. Please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers. The images on the news are truly devastating. I have never seen anything like this...
